Description
This honey is produced at the end of June from noble Linden blossoms, called the Lime Tree or Tiglio in Italian, a plant that is still enveloped in an atmosphere of ancient rituals and ceremonies. The honey's colour ranges from golden yellow to amber, with a fresh scent reminiscent of menthol and with an intense flavour of fresh spices. Its taste is medium-sweet and very persistent, with fresh walnut tones and a delicately bitter aftertaste. Mieli Thun's small, family run company is renowned for its many types of single variety Italian honeys, obtained through knowing and directed nomadic beekeeping. Their ambition is to help lead a renaissance in artisanal honey-making: the quintessence of the art of gathering honey.
