This listing is for Grade B vanilla beans from the islands of Tahiti that are sold by weight only for consistency purposes due to variations in shape and size of this class of vanilla beans from Tahiti. In this product you will find short beans, split beans and whole beans. The beans may not be the largest and most visually appealing vanilla beans but the are grown and cured in the same method and on the same estate in which our Grade A vanilla from Tahiti is grown. These vanilla beans are best utilized by chopping the vanilla beans into .25 inch to .5 inch pieces and adding to your solvent of choice for making vanilla extract. These vanilla beans are also great for mixing in sugar for a floral and sweet vanilla sugar. Although the moisture content in these vanilla beans is rather nice and pliable THESE VANILLA BEANS ARE NOT FOR SPLITTING AND SCRAPPING TO MAKE VANILLA EXTRACT. This is due to the many different size variations of the product. Chopping the vanilla beans and adding to your liquid of choice is the fastest and most efficient method for producing a wonderful home made vanilla extract
