Description
  • OOLONG TEA: Oolongs are very complex in aromatics and flavors and can hold up to multiple infusions.
  • FLAVOR: As a general rule, the lower oxidized oolongs have more floral and vine fruit characteristics, while the mid-oxidized oolongs have more stone fruit and nut characteristics. The higher oxidized oolongs tend to provide more nut, honey, and woody characteristics.
  • CAFFEINE LEVEL: Oolong teas have just as much antioxidants as that of other tea types. Oolong teas have a wide range of caffeine levels depending on oxidation level. The greener oolongs are similar to green tea, while the darker oolongs are similar to black tea.
  • REAL LOOSE LEAF TEA: Loose leaf tea is a healthier purer way to drink tea. Our 1 oz. sample brews about 10 cups of tea.
  • REAL LOOSE LEAF TEA IN BAGS: Loose leaf tea is a healthier purer way to drink tea, we gently breakup our loose leaf teas for use in eco-friendly tea bags to help retain full flavor.
  • PREMIUM LOOSE LEAF TEA: Premium tea leaves have all their essential oils intact, so the flavor, quality and health benefits are maintained. Individually hand packed in the USA in a resealable pouch to retain freshness.

This medium bodied oolong has undertones of dried fruits and a sweet golden finish. We call it Traditional Ti Kuan Yin because of the longer oxidation, which was traditionally the way the tea was created. More recently, Ti Kuan Yin has been fashioned after the greener, less oxidized oolongs of Taiwan and unfortunately, this more traditional processing is over- looked. We like both the greener and more golden darker oxidized oolongs, each for their own unique character.Brewing Instructions: Start with cold water and bring water to just under a boil (185 - 195). Add tea leaves, one heaping teaspoon per cup of water. For iced tea, add one level tablespoon. Pour hot water over leaves and steep 2-5 minutes. Remove or strain tea and enjoy!Ingredients: Oolong Tea.
