Motherwort (scientific name: Leonurus japonicus Houttuyn) is a Lamiaceae, motherwort genus. An annual or biennial herb with a taproot densely populated with fibrous roots. Stems erect, usually 30-120 cm tall, obtuse quadrangular, slightly grooved, with inverted strigose.
