3M E-A-R Pistonz corded earplugs soft foam tips conform to the unique shape of each earcanal to create a comfortable noise-blocking seal. Since there is no need to roll these earplugs down before use, fitting is easy and the foam tips stay clean, even when your hands are dirty. The 3M E-A-R Pistonz Earplugs, Hearing Conservation, provide comfort, ease of use, and the status of being officially licensed by NASCAR. These earplugs dont look like conventional ones, but rather have an exciting race car driver look with metallic-looking tips. While the tips may look like metal, they are made of specially formulated foam that is soft enough for extended wear. There is no need to roll down the foam before fitting these earplugs. Simply pinch the insertion stem between fingers and push to fit, which keeps the tip going into the ears clean even if hands are somewhat soiled with dirt, oil, grease, or some other contaminant. The stem is stiff enough to insert the earplug, yet is designed to flex sideways if impacted during wear. The cylindrical shape is designed to fit and seal most size ears. Earplugs come in a polybag to keep them clean prior to use.
These earplugs have a Noise Reduction Rating (NRR) of 29 dB, CSA Class AL.
