The tuning fork is made of non-magnetic, corrosion-resistant aluminum alloy construction for light weight and durability, and produced from 3/8 x 1-inch (L x W) bar stock for superior performance and consistent frequency. (L is length, the horizontal distance from left to right; W is width, the horizontal distance from front to back.) The device has an extended two-inch handle of turned smooth aluminum for facilitating bone conduction tests, and provides 256 cycles per second (cps).
