CONVATEC 25510 Stomahesive Protective Powder - Stomahesive Protective Powder intends to absorb moisture and protect skin from damage. The powder also helps to extend the life of the skin barrier/wafer. It is an ostomy powder in a convenient 1-ounce squeeze bottle. It is designed to absorb moisture to form a barrier to safeguard vulnerable skin. It is particularly helpful in protecting excoriated or weeping skin that will touch the skin barrier. Stomahesive powder is used to create a crusting technique when peristomal skin is severely damaged and weeping. The crusting is sealed dabbing it with a barrier wipe. This ostomy product acts as a shield to increase comfort thus allowing you to wear the barrier longer while minimizing the risk of skin irritation. Directions: Start by washing the skin around the stoma. Leave the surrounding skin slightly moist. Apply a small amount of the protective powder to the raw/irritated skin.
