It is used to make cornbread, muffins, johnny cakes, spoon bread and corn sticks. Our mill has been located in Kittrell since it was founded around 1854. The gristmill began as so many other gristmills in North Carolina, it was a necessity to the survival of the people settled close by. We are still in the business of serving families with the finest Southern Corn Meal.
